Step 1: In large heavy bottomed pan, heat oil and saute garlic until golden (1 minute or so).
Step 2: If using meat, add to pot and cook until brown.
Step 3: Add all remaining ingredients, stirring thoroughly.
Step 4: Bring to boil; turn down to simmer and cook 30 minutes.
Step 5: Taste and adjust seasonings to your preference.
Step 6: NOTE: I've also used Penzey's Pasta Sprinkle instead of the basil, oregano and onion powder. Use 4-5 teaspoons per recipe.
