Step 1: Place the brown sugar, water, chocolate and salt in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Step 2: Let cool slightly. Then add the powdered sugar and vanilla. You can add chopped nuts, if desired.
Step 3: Frosts an 8x8 inch cake.
