Ingredients
- Heat
- 2 cups applesauce
- 1/4 cup margarine
- Cream
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- Dry
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Mix
- 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 cup dates, pitted, chopped
- 1/2 cup raisins
- Frosting
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
How to Make

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Step 2: Butter, flour, Pam spray Bundt pan or a 9x13 pan.

Step 3: Heat the apple sauce and the margarine in a small saucepan over medium heat until the margarine is melted and the mixture is hot.

Step 4: Cream the brown sugar and the eggs.

Step 5: Sift together all of the dry ingredients.

Step 6: Stir everything together and bake in a greased 9x13 pan or Bundt pan.

Step 7: Bake for 45 minutes.

Step 8: To make the frosting: mix together the cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar.

Step 9: Once the cake is cool, spread the frosting evenly over the top.
