Step 1: Line flat 9x9″ cake pan with wax paper.
Step 2: Slice angel food cake and place a layer of cake in pan; slices easier if frozen.
Step 3: Beat yolks.
Step 4: Melt chocolate in double boiler over water.
Step 5: When melted, add sugar and water.
Step 6: Mix well.
Step 7: Make sure sugar melts.
Step 8: Remove from heat and stir gradually into beaten egg yolks. (Temper yolks first)
Step 9: Beat until smooth.
Step 10: Cool this mixture.
Step 11: Add vanilla and salt.
Step 12: Mix well.
Step 13: Beat egg whites until stiff.
Step 14: Whip the cream.
Step 15: Fold egg whites into chocolate mix, then the whipped cream.
Step 16: Place a layer of chocolate on the angel food slices, than another layer of cake, then a layer of chocolate.
Step 17: Place in refrigerator overnight.
Step 18: This can be frozen and used later.
Step 19: Be sure to chill overnight before freezing.
