Step 1: Cook barley in salted water for 10 to 12 minutes for quick type, 50 minutes for regular type.
Step 2: Drain and rinse in cold water.
Step 3: Combine broccoli, raisins, onion, cooked crumbled bacon and sunflower seeds with the cooked barley.
Step 4: Mix in dressing.
Step 5: Refrigerate overnight.
Step 6: Stir occasionally.
