Step 1: Place the buttermilk and water into the bread pan. Top with the whole wheat flour, white bread flour, baking soda, honey, oil and salt. Place the yeast on top of the mixture (if your machine has a delay timer before kneading starts then place the salt into the corner of the pan away from the yeast).
Step 2: Press manual or dough cycle to knead dough. When the cycle is finished remove from bread maker. Shape into one large long loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan. Let rise until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F (175 degree C) oven for 25 minutes, or until bottom of loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
