Ingredients
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 green onions, sliced (green parts only)
- 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro, packed
- 21 large fresh basil leaves (chiffonade)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
- 6 cloves garlic, minced finely or 6 teaspoons crushed garlic
- 2 pounds cherry tomatoes, cut into halves
How to Make

Step 1: Combine all ingredients except tomatoes in a large glass bowl.

Step 2: Whisk to combine, then add tomatoes and stir.

Step 3: Allow to marinate for 8 to 24 hours.

Step 4: Tomatoes will give off liquid as they marinate.
