Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the bacon until it's crisp.
Step 2: Put the bacon on paper towels and reserve 3 tablespoons of the bacon grease.
Step 3: Add the green pepper and onion to the drippings and cook until translucent.
Step 4: Add corn, lima beans and water.
Step 5: Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the vegetables are almost tender, adding more water if necessary.
Step 6: Stir in tomatoes and cook just until tomatoes are heated through.
Step 7: Season to taste.
Step 8: Add in crumbled bacon.
