Ingredients
- Wet
- 2/3 cups shortening (oleo or margarine)
- 2 1/4 cups brown sugar, packed (1 pound)
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Dry
- 2 2/3 cup flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Add
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped (it said nuts)
- 1 cup chocolate chips
How to Make

Step 1: Whisk dry ingredients together.

Step 2: In another bowl, cream wet ingredients together and add to dry ingredients.

Step 3: Add the nuts and chocolate chips.

Step 4: Pour onto greased cookie sheet (10 1/2 x15 inch pan was given)

Step 5: Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until done. Check earlier.
