Step 1: Cook macaroni according to package directions, in salted water.
Step 2: Meanwhile, in a separate large skillet, over medium-high heat, saute the ground beef, onion, and Italian seasoning for 5-10 minutes, or until meat is brown, and crumbly.
Step 3: Drain thoroughly, and leave the meat and onion in the skillet.
Step 4: Add the diced tomatoes and spaghetti sauce, and mix well.
Step 5: Add butter, and mix, until melted.
Step 6: When noodles are done, drain thoroughly, and return noodles to the pot.
Step 7: Add the hamburger mixture from the skillet to the pot. Mix well, and season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Step 8: Heat until bubbly, then serve with bread and butter or rolls, and your favorite salad.
