Ingredients
- Boil
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 4 tablespoons shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup raisins
- Cake
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 1/2 cups flour
How to Make

Step 1: Boil the boiled items for 5 minutes cool down.

Step 2: Add cake ingredients stirring and mixing

Step 3: Pour into a a greased and floured 9x13 cake pan, or smaller (9x9)

Step 4: Bake 60 minutes at 350 degrees F until done.
