Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2: In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they become translucent and fragrant.
Step 3: Add the ground beef to the skillet with the onions and garlic. Break up the beef with a spatula and cook until it is browned and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 4: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cottage cheese, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
Step 5: Take an oven-safe baking dish spray it with non-stick spray, then spread a thin layer of the marinara sauce on the bottom.
Step 6: Place a layer of Egglife wraps over the sauce, covering the entire bottom of the dish. You may need to cut the wraps to fit the dish properly.
Step 7: Spread a layer of the cooked ground beef over the wraps, covering them evenly.
Step 8: Sprinkle a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the ground beef.
Step 9: Spoon a layer of the cottage cheese mixture over the mozzarella cheese.
Step 10: Repeat the layers by adding another layer of Egglife wraps, marinara sauce, ground beef, mozzarella cheese, and cottage cheese mixture. Continue layering until you have used all the ingredients, ending with a layer of tomato basil sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Step 11: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
Step 12: Bake for approximately 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the lasagna is hot and bubbling, and the top is golden brown.
Step 13: Once cooked, remove the lasagna from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. This will allow the lasagna to set and make it easier to cut into portions.
Step 14: Serve hot.
