Step 1: Cut sausage links into thirds. Saute in skillet and drain. Remove sausage and keep warm.
Step 2: In 2 tsps of the sausage drippings, saute onion until slightly soft. Add the sliced squash, seasonings, and broth/water if necessary. Lower heat and continue cooking until the squash is tender. Return sausage to the pan, stir until combined well. Serve over cooked rice, if desired.
