Step 1: Melt butter in a large skillet set over medium-high heat and place sauerkraut in the skillet along with the bacon crumbles, black pepper, and salt.
Step 2: Sauté the sauerkraut for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook longer and stir less frequently if you desire crispy fried sauerkraut.
Step 3: Remove from heat and serve immediately.
