Ingredients
- 1 (7 ounce) baked pie crust,(9 inches)
- Filling:
- 3 egg yolks,large
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup lime juice ,unstrained
- 1/2 cup water,boiling
- 1 box (3 ounces) lime jello
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- Topping:
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 3 egg whites,(1/2 cup)
How to Make

Step 1: Combine egg yolks sugar and salt

Step 2: Stir in lime juices

Step 3: Cook in double boiler until it comes to a boil

Step 4: Remove from heat

Step 5: In another bowl mix the jello zest and boiling water

Step 6: Pour into custard mixture and beat

Step 7: It says cool down

Step 8: In another bowl

Step 9: Beat egg whites sugar and cream of tartar until stiff

Step 10: It says fold into cold custard and pour into pie shell

Step 11: Chill at least 2 hours
