Step 1: In large saucepan
Step 2: Fry bacon, remove,crumble
Step 3: Saute onion in fat till soft
Step 4: Add flour and seasonings
Step 5: Drain juice from kraut.
Step 6: With kraut still in bag add tap water.
Step 7: Pour kraut and water into the saucepan and turn heat down over a low flame
Step 8: Add potato,caraway seeds and bacon to kraut.
Step 9: Simmer for 45 minutes.
