- 1/2 cup butter,(large )
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar,(large)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 5 egg whites,beaten stiff
