Step 1: Marinating Sauce:
Step 2: Take soy sauce, water, brown sugar, molasses and salt - mix together in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Step 3: Let cool.
Step 4: Put chops in a pan with bone side up.
Step 5: Pour marinade over the pork chops and let stand overnight in refrigerator.(ziplock bag might work here too)
Step 6: Take chops out of marinade
Step 7: Place in baking pan and cover tightly with foil.
Step 8: Put in 375 degree oven
Step 9: And bake until tender - about 2 hours.
Step 10: Red Sauce.
Step 11: While chops are baking, combine all red sauce ingredients in heavy saucepan
Step 12: Mix well - leaving no lumps.
Step 13: Bring all ingredients to a slight boil.
Step 14: After chops are tender
Step 15: Remove from oven and dip in red sauce.
Step 16: Baking:
Step 17: Take chops after dipping and place in same baking pan and bake for 30 minutes more in 350 degree oven or until slightly glazed.
Step 18: Both sauces can be reused if brought to a boil and stored in refrigerator or frozen.
Step 19: Grilling:
Step 20: For an extra flavor keep at room temperature until you are ready to put on a grill.
Step 21: Have grill as high as possible from coals, not a large bed of coals is needed.
Step 22: Place finished chops on grill
Step 23: Let cook slowly, a little blacking does not hurt chops -- grilling should not take more than 15 minutes.
