Step 1: Drain sauerkraut in a sieve over a bowl. Measure ½ cup of liquid and reserve.
Step 2: Put the drained sauerkraut into a large bowl.
Step 3: Mix in sugar.
Step 4: Let sit about 15 minutes.
Step 5: Add ½ cup reserved sauerkraut liquid and oil.
Step 6: Add rest of ingredients and put in fridge overnight
