Step 1: Mix together the soup, milk, salt and pepper
Step 2: Lightly grease a 13"X9"X2" oven proof pan
Step 3: Place 1/3 of the potatoes in the dish, cover with 1/3 onions, drizzle with 1/3 butter, sprinkle in 1/3 flour, cover with 1/3 of the soup mixture. Repeat 2 more times ending with a layer of the soup mixture on top
Step 4: Bake uncovered in 350f oven for 1 1/2 hours or until the potatoes are cooked and the casserole is golden
Step 5: If you are topping with cheese and fried mushrooms add them to the top 15 minutes before end of baking time
