Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to boiling.
Step 2: Add gnocchi
Step 3: Cook about 2 minutes or until gnocchi rise to the top of water.
Step 4: Using a slotted spoon
Step 5: Remove gnocchi and place in a large bowl.
Step 6: Meanwhile
Step 7: In a large nonstick skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Step 8: Add sausage and onion
Step 9: Add mushrooms to skillet
Step 10: Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of the salt and 1/4 teaspoon of the pepper.
Step 11: Cook for 3 minutes.
Step 12: Add sauce, peas, and the 1 teaspoon dried basil to mushroom mixture in skillet.
Step 13: Reduce heat to medium
Step 14: Simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 15: Stir in ricotta cheese
Step 16: And if needed ,the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt, and the remaining 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Step 17: Pour over gnocchi.
Step 18: Stir to combine.
Step 19: Ladle into bowls.
Step 20: Top with Parmesan
