Step 1: Stud the whole onion with the cloves.
Step 2: Place the prepared silverside into the slow cooker.
Step 3: Place in the studded onion & sprinkle with the dried ginger, season with cracked pepper. Pour over the ginger beer or ale to cover the meat.
Step 4: Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the silverside is tender to your liking.
