Step 1: Peel and core apple and cut apples into quarters.
Step 2: Melt butter in a large, deep non-stick frying pan over a medium to high heat and add apples and sugar and cook, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
Step 3: Add cream and bring to boil and gently boil, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes, or until apples are tender and sauce is slightly thickened.
Step 4: Meanwhile, place biscuits in a large, snap-lock bag and seal and gently pound with a rolling pin until coarsely crushed.
Step 5: Sprinkle biscuits over apples in pan and serve with vanilla ice-cream (optional).
