Step 1: Soak lentils overnight
Step 2: Next day
Step 3: In stockpot
Step 4: Heat oil add onion add garlic
Step 5: Add tomato paste
Step 6: Add water
Step 7: Drain lentil
Step 8: Add to pot
Step 9: Add sausage
Step 10: Simmer 2 hours
Step 11: Add water as needed
Step 12: In saute pan brown butter and flour
Step 13: Add paprika and salt and pepper dont burn
Step 14: Add to stockpot
Step 15: Simmer another 30 minutes until thickened and lentils tender
