Step 1: Heat butter, milk, and chocolate over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly. A double boiler works well for this. Remove from heat.
Step 2: Blend in the powdered sugar, gradually, beating until smooth.
Step 3: Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well.
Step 4: Add vanilla.
