Step 1: Bring broth to a boil in saucepan.
Step 2: Beat the egg slightly with the sherry.
Step 3: Stir the egg mixture into the boiling soup, then remove from heat. Fast stirring creates small egg drops. Slower stirring creates larger ones.
Step 4: Pour into soup bowls and sprinkle with green onions.
