Step 1: Bring salted water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan.
Step 2: Stir in the macaroni and return to a boil.
Step 3: Stirring occasionally, continue boiling for 4 minutes.
Step 4: Then lower heat to medium and continue boiling, with frequent stirring, for 7 minutes more. To prevent sticking, try reducing the heat to the lowest setting for the last few minutes.
Step 5: Add the other ingredients, stirring well, till cheese is melted.
