Step 1: Mix the potatoes and kraut.
Step 2: Place half of the potato mixture on the bottom of a lightly greased oven proof dish ( Pyrex pie plate will do).
Step 3: Place the chop in the dish, spread the mustard on the chops, spread the apple slices over the chops, cover with remaining potato mixture.
Step 4: Season with salt and pepper, cut up the butter in small pieces and place on top.
Step 5: Seal with foil, bake in 350f oven for 45 minutes, uncover and bake a further 15 minutes allowing the potato/kraut mixture to brown nicely.
