Step 1: Prepare steak, cut into 2 1/2 inch strips 1 inch wide, trimming away all fat.
Step 2: In large frying pan over medium heat saute onions until translucent. Remove from pan set aside
Step 3: Sear meat turning constantly 4 - 5 minutes (if your pan is not large enough you may have to do this in batches) Add mushrooms stir occasionally for about 3 - 4 minutes. Add salt and pepper
Step 4: Remove from heat. Stir the onions back in. Add consomme and Worcestershire sauce. Heat pan to boiling.
Step 5: Make a smooth paste of flour and the water stir until thickened. Stir in sour cream until heated through. Serve over noodles.
