Step 1: Melt butter in a large non-stick frying pan over a medium to high heat until bubbling and then add pears, cut side down and cook for about 3 minutes or until light golden underneath and then turn pears over and sprinkle with cinnamon and pour over the maple syrup.
Step 2: Bring to a boil and gently boil for about 3 to 5 minutes or until pears are tender.
Step 3: Spoon the syrup over the pears and serve with cream and or ice cream.
