Step 1: Add gin, Aperol, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice.
Step 2: Add basil leaves, shake well; the basil will break up and flavor the rest of the cocktail.
Step 3: Double-strain into a glass and top with about ½ ounce of Prosecco.
Step 4: Garnish with basil sprig.
