Step 1: Cook rice and onion in oil until rice is lightly browned, stirring frequently.
Step 2: Add ham, beans, broth and 1/2 c. water. Heat to boiling.
Step 3: Turn into a 2 qt. casserole. Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until rice is tender.
Step 4: Stir just before serving.
Step 5: Can be assembled ahead of time, refrigerated and then baked. May need to add a little more baking time.
