Step 1: Combine minces, onion, garlic, parsley, breadcrumbs and egg and mix together well using your hands and then roll into large meatballs and place into the slow cooker.
Step 2: Add tomatoes, tomato paste and chopped basil and season with salt and pepper and cover and cook on low setting for 6 hours.
Step 3: When ready to serve, preheat grill/broiler to high and transfer meatballs and sauce to a large heatproof dish and scatter with mozzarella and parmesan and grill/broil for 6 minutes or until golden.
Step 4: Scatter with extra basil and serve.
Step 5: TIP - NO SLOW COOKER - brown meatballs in a frying pan over medium heat, turning often, until wel browned and then add tomatoes, paste and basil and bring to the boil and transfer to an overnroof dish and bake a preheated oven (180C) for 25 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through and then top with cheeses and bake for a further 10 minutes until melted.
