Step 1: Add all soup ingredients to a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Cool until tender.
Step 2: Meanwhile, make dumplings adding enough flour to make stiff dough.
Step 3: When soup is at a rolling boil, drop the dumplings by teaspoonfuls into boiling stock.
Step 4: Cover, keep covered 20 minutes on low.
