Step 1: Place the apples and onions in deep skillet. Fry in the 4 tablespoons butter for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Add cabbage and water a little at a time to keep it steaming.
Step 3: Cool for 20 minutes.
Step 4: When tender, add butter, seasoning, sugar and vinegar.
Step 5: Cool a few minutes more.
