Step 1: Cut steak into 1 inch cubes.
Step 2: Cut the red onion into large chunks and set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl whisk together soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, vegetable oil, sugar, ginger and sesame seeds.
Step 4: Add the steak, and toss to coat in marinade. Marinate for 3 hours or overnight.
Step 5: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Step 6: Thread the meat and the red onion onto the skewers.
Step 7: Grill for 8-10 minutes, until the meat is done to desired liking.
