Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 to 3 tablespoons milk
- Paste food coloring
How to Make

Step 1: In a small mixing bowl beat shortening and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds.

Step 2: Gradually beat in 1-1/3 cups of the powdered sugar until smooth.

Step 3: Beat in 1 tablespoon of the milk.

Step 4: Gradually beat in the remaining powdered sugar and enough milk to make frosting a piping consistency.

Step 5: Tint frosting as desired with food coloring.

Step 6: Use to decorate cookies
