Ingredients
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
How to Make

Step 1: Thoroughly mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan.

Step 2: Stir milk into egg yolks and mix well. Add chocolate.

Step 3: Gradually stir egg mixture into dry ingredients.

Step 4: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute .

Step 5: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla .

Step 6: Cool and use to fill 8 or 9 inch cake.
