Step 1: Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, rub in butter until fine crumbs
Step 2: Beat egg in measuring cup adding enough milk to make for 3/4 cup liquid. Mix with flour mixture
Step 3: Pat into a 9x 13 greased pan, pressing crumbs up the sides of pan to form an edge.
Step 4: Top with rhubarb (or choice of saskatoons, apples or plums)
Step 5: Topping, crumb together sugar, flour and butter. Sprinkle over top of fruit
Step 6: Bake in a 350 oven until crust is golden and fruit is done.
