Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate, melted
How to Make

Step 1: Heat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2: Combine all ingredients except chocolate

Step 3: Pour 1/2 cup batter into a small bowl and add melted chocolate, mixing well

Step 4: Pour remaining batter into pans and spoon chocolate batter on top, using a toothpick or knife to swirl

Step 5: Bake 65 min or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean
