Step 1: Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan until sizzling; add onion and garlic.
Step 2: Cook over medium heat until softened.
Step 3: Reduce heat to low; add cheeses and milk.
Step 4: Cook, stirring occasionally, until cheeses are melted.
Step 5: Add sour cream; mix well.
Step 6: Cook until heated through.
