Step 1: In a bowl combine beef, 2 1/4 teaspoons oil, worcestershire, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Divide into 4 portions, shaping each into a 4 inch patty.
Step 2: Heat a skillet over medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon oil to pan. Add patties and cook 3-5 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet and add remaining 1 tablespoon oil; swirl to coat pan. Add onion and mushrooms to pan; cook 5-6 minutes or until mushrooms brown; sprinkle with flour and remaining salt and pepper and cook another 2 minutes. Add broth to pan and cook another minute until thickened and slightly reduced, stirring frequently.
Step 3: Return patties to pan and spoon onion mixture over patties; sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook 3 minutes or until cheese melts.
