Step 1: Mix together seasoning blend and set aside.
Step 2: In a larger skillet over medium heat,add beef,pork,onion,and garlic.
Step 3: When placing meat into skillet, break into smaller pieces and cook until it is no longer pink and onion and garlic are soft.
Step 4: Drain and add meat mixture to a slow cooker large enough to hold all ingredients.
Step 5: Next add tomato paste,tomato sauce,beef broth,and seasoning blend.
Step 6: Then mix until everything is well combined.
Step 7: If using the beans, add now and mix well.
Step 8: Cook on low for 5 hours and serve with your favorite chili toppings.
