Step 1: Trim any scrappy bits off the ribs.
Step 2: Combine the rest of the ingredients in a shallow ovenproof dish and then lay the ribs in the dish, making sure both sides are coated and then cover the dish with foil and bake in a 150C oven for two hours, basting and turning at least once during this time.
Step 3: By this stage the meat should be tender.
Step 4: Now you have 2 choice; you may either turn up the oven to 250C, remove the foil and roast the ribs, turning and basting often with the cooking liquid until they are well coloured, or you may look to the barbecue, which leaves you with an easier dish to clean and if you decide on the latter, barbecue the ribs and basting them frequently with the remaining marinade/sauce until they are well browned.
Step 5: Then simply cut the ribs into sections, pile high on a serving plate and serve with plenty of napkins.
