Ingredients
- FOR CREAMED
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2/3 cup molasses
- FOR THE SIFTED
- 2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- FOR THE FILLING
- 8 ounces mincemeat (1 cup)
How to Make

Step 1: Cream in order given, add dry.

Step 2: Make 2 inch tube in waxed paper, chill overnight.

Step 3: Cut thin rounds.

Step 4: Place 1 t mincemeat on center of bottom round.

Step 5: In top round make four slashes and stretch dough to go over bottom take tines of fork to close.

Step 6: Bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes on Pam sprayed cookie sheet.
