Step 1: Rinse and thaw peas.
Step 2: Rinse and cut water chestnuts into quarters.
Step 3: Put both peas and chestnuts in medium size bow.l.
Step 4: Melt butter in small saute' pan, add almonds and saute till light brown.
Step 5: Remove from heat and let cool.
Step 6: Once cool add almonds to peas and water chestnuts; add mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar.
Step 7: You may want to add more sugar according to your own taste.
Step 8: Serve immediately or keep refrigerated till needed.
