Step 1: Coat potatoes and shallots with warmed bacon grease in a bowl.
Step 2: Put potatoes on a baking sheet.
Step 3: Season with salt, pepper, caraway, and paprika.
Step 4: Stir around to coat.
Step 5: Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring every so often.
