Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F.
Step 2: Place carrots in a greased 1-quart casserole.
Step 3: Combine lemon juice, salt, ginger and pepper.
Step 4: Pour over carrots.
Step 5: Dot with butter.
Step 6: Bake until carrots are tender, about 1 hour.
