Step 1: Warm the oil. Add peppercorns, cinnamon, cardamom,cloves. Stir for a minute.
Step 2: Add onions& turmeric and fry for 2 minutes (I made certain to remove the cinnamon and cloves before I added the spinach and corn, but left in the peppercorns).
Step 3: Add the corn, spinach and salt and mix well, then add rice. Mix again.
Step 4: Add 2 cups of hot water, thenlet it come to a boil.
Step 5: Put a lid and let cook on very low heat for 20 minutes.
