Step 1: Spray crock pot with non-stick cooking spray, or use a slow cooker liner.
Step 2: Cut meat into thin strips, and place in slow cooker.
Step 3: Add green pepper, onions, stock, garlic salt, pepper and dressing mix.
Step 4: Cover and cook on Low 7-8 hours, or High for 3-4 hours.
Step 5: Spoon meat mixture onto toasted French bread or sub rolls.
Step 6: Top with cheese.
Step 7: Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for an additional few minutes to melt the cheese and toast the sandwich.
Step 8: You can also serve with sliced sauteed mushrooms on top.
